Letter to the editor: Partisan propaganda
It is really sort of a shame that letter-writer Ron Raymond (“Balance of media needed,” March 9, TribLIVE) believes in the “24/7, Trump-bashing, fake-news mainstream media.” Perhaps he isn’t aware that Fox News is owned and operated by billionaire Australian Rupert Murdoch, called by some a proto-fascist. Murdoch probably does not go to sleep at night with a copy of the U.S. Constitution under his pillow.
Raymond also lauds The Wall Street Journal, which is one of American’s finest publications. Its editorial page, however, is famously over the ideological top.
I also watch the Fox News, but mainly rely on MSNBC, which is owned by Comcast. The parent company of The Wall Street Journal is Murdoch’s News Corp. No conspiracy there.
Truth is what matters. Objectivity should never be tinged by partisan homage to propaganda.
