Letter to the editor: Pa. should give us a 2-month income tax holiday
I recently read that Pennsylvania has $2 billion in American Rescue Plan funding sitting in a bank account.
This is approximately two months of income taxes withheld by employers on their workers’ wages. I recommend that the state grant a two-month income tax-withholding holiday and instruct employers not to withhold taxes for two months. This would go a long way in helping the hard-working families in Pennsylvania buy a tank of gas to get to work.
Another option would be to extend the subway system to Oakland, Cranberry and the airport.
If we’re not going to send this money back to Washington to offset the inflation created by the printing of this money, then at least use it in a manner that will benefit all in our community.
