Letter to the editor: Pa. Legislature should be cut down
Pa. Legislature should be cut down
The Dec. 2 editorial cartoon in which the public serves the lawmakers could not be truer. In 2018 we were to vote for a constitutional amendment to cut the state House from 203 to 151 members, which would save millions, but it was voted down by legislators. They find a way to kick the can down the road to protect their part-time jobs with more benefits than most people will see in their life time.
If we got down to 151 members, we would still have more members than Texas, New York, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois.
Let’s kick their can and vote them out after one term.
