Letter to the editor: On Biden blackmail, where's outrage?
A widely available clip of a January 2018 video — rarely shown on network television — should end the impeachment farce. The clip not only absolves President Trump, but indicts the Obama administration for bribery, an actual impeachable offense. When the key perpetrator began campaigning for president, it became Trump’s duty to the electorate to ask Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden’s confessed corruption.
Most readers haven’t seen the tape (look online). Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and Conor Lamb ignore it. Voters shouldn’t.
This is Biden speaking: “We’re not going to give you the billion dollars. They (Ukrainian officials) said, ‘You have no authority. You’re not the president. The president said’ — I said, call him. (laughter) I said, I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a (expletive). (laughter) He got fired.”
That’s unfiltered blackmail, smeared into your face by openly corrupt American leaders. Where is Democrat and media outrage about this now, with Biden running for president? Why aren’t they thanking Trump for alerting us to this admitted coercer?
Because Democrats can’t. Not when impeachment is just a calculated diversion to hide a chilling, unprecedented political scandal, launched under Obama. The Inspector General’s 19-page summary report of wrongful FBI surveillance of Trump advisers should terrify us all. And it’s only a storm warning.
The hurricane is still coming.
