Letter to the editor: NRA not terroristic

Tribune-Review

I disagree with letter-writer Robert Jedrzejewski’s view of the NRA ("NRA’s terroristic ways," Sept. 10, TribLIVE). He is pro gun control. I am pro responsible gun ownership, which the NRA promotes.

Guns are inanimate objects. They do not, cannot and never will be able to shoot themselves. They need an animate object (human) to operate them.

Jedrzejewski seems to have been struck by the Stockholm syndrome of the radical left of the Democratic Party and agree with its "no guns, no killings" (mass or otherwise) creed. Does he know that in Great Britain, which bans citizen-owned handguns, knives are the most common weapon in killings ?

Another historical point: The Second Amendment wasn't meant to preserve hunting; it was meant to prevent government tyranny.

I do agree with you about spineless Republican legislators — just not for the reason you stated. Republicans are cowards for not standing up to your gun-control Democratic abductors with which you so emphatically empathize.
