Letter to the editor: Norwin board needs advocates

We have an important election on May 18. I feel that we have no community representation on the Norwin school board, and our taxes have gone up 10 times in 10 years. What did we get for the highest annual budget in Norwin history of almost $75 million?

Our children, including those with IEPs like my son, only received two days of in-person learning for most of the year. This is unacceptable. Some neighboring school districts got five days of in-person instruction for most of the year .

We need to vote for a board that will advocate for our students and taxpayers. Parents Alex Detschelt, Michael LeRoy, Christine Baverso and Raymond Kocak are the only candidates who have said they will vote “no” to new taxes. They all advocated from day one for five-day in-person learning (the only method that works for many children who learn best in person).

We must vote for change on May 18 by voting in the “Change4Norwin” parents.
