Letter to the editor: No one is perfect
To answer the writer of the letter “Why do evangelicals support Trump?” (Aug. 6, TribLive): First of all, are you a Christian? You stated you read your Bible, and quoted a Scripture passage. You make judgments on Christians supporting Donald J. Trump. You continue about all his faults. I guess you are without faults and sin. No one is perfect on this earth.
I have read my Bible 14 times in different translations. Here are some Scripture passages for you to look up.
1. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
2. No one is without sin, no, not one.
3. Let ye without sin cast the first stone.
4. Judge not lest ye be judged.
You don’t know Trump’s heart; only God does.
I am a past teacher, police officer and lay minister. I am also a Christian and veteran who supports Trump. We need to forgive and treat others with respect and love.
King David broke every law and sin. God said he was a man after his own heart. God looks at the heart of everyone.
