Letter to the editor: No longer land of free
I am glad to see that the sports complex being built in West Deer is an essential business and granted a waiver under our current pandemic (“Construction of West Deer sports complex continues despite coronavirus pandemic,” April 30, TribLIVE). I thought all sports activities and bars were closed under current rules. Must fall under Gov. Tom Wolf’s essential plan with beer distributors, state stores and lottery sales.
People can stand in line for an hour to get a gallon of paint but cannot stand in line to vote because we are too scared. We the people need to take our rights back, because this is not the land of the free and the brave anymore. Land of the free has a choice, but we no longer have that. Open our state and country back up for the people that want to work.
