Letter to the editor: 'Mediacrats' & mind control

The Democratic Party and the great majority of the news media have a symbiotic relationship. They support and live off of each other. It’s the height of collusion and greatly influences elections.

The Republicans in Congress have historically been the designated losers, like the Washington Generals to the Harlem Globetrotters. But most have been fine with that because they can pretend to represent the people while getting rich along with the Democrats by accommodating the lobbyists and special interest groups.

Then there are the unelected, embedded, deep-state swamp-dwellers who are accustomed to doing their own thing no matter who gets elected. They, and this whole cabal of government elite miscreants, were living fat and happy and unchallenged with little concern for the taxpayers.

Then, along came President Trump to shake up this whole, cozy arrangement — a total outsider, not beholden to them and not willing to accept the status quo. And that’s when the clamor began, like the shrieking of demons when the exorcist arrived. Trump the businessman is accomplishing for the country what the lawyers/politicians either couldn’t or wouldn’t do.

And yet the “mediacrats” are succeeding in convincing so many to support the swamp- dwellers and reject the one who is accomplishing so much. It’s illogical and absurd, and it’s a shame that the mediacrats control the minds of so many.
