Letter to the editor: Lies, promises & arguments

Tribune-Review

I believe that there is no one person to blame for what’s wrong with politics and government. Lies and deceit plague government decision-making.

In my opinion, most people in government tend to lie or twist words to meet the situation. Most, if not all, presidents have lied to the American people (Bill Clinton, in his own words: “I never had sex with that woman.”). It’s natural for them.

I laugh every time I see President Trump open his mouth. I can’t watch him on TV for more than a few minute before I need to change the channel.

I also still laugh about one campaign promise he made: To bring the coal and steel industries back to Pennsylvania. He suckered Pennsylvania and the blue-collar workers who voted for him. He had to win Pennsylvania to win the presidency, and we know the rest.

Why are people afraid of this man? I don’t place the blame solely on Republicans or Democrats, but they are supposed to work for the benefit of our country — not bicker and find ways to disagree with everything.

We are headed for war; I mean the real deal. Wars are power and money. The worst part is, the average American isn’t even going to know what happened.
