Letter to the editor: Cancellation of dangerous movie

Tribune-Review

The decision to cancel the film “The Hunt” due to criticism after the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, was hopefully a wake-up call for the liberal entertainment industry.

Universal Films, owned by Comcast, produced “The Hunt,” in which a group of “elites” kidnap and hunt “deplorables” for fun. It seems the “elites” believe “deplorables” are not human beings. Was the term “elites” to replace liberals, the wealthy or Hollywood?

This film may have promoted evil ideas to individuals with psychological tendencies. These types of films are poisoning our society. If individuals wearing MAGA hats were murdered, Comcast would have blood on its hands.

The mainstream media preach Trump is hate, but the truth is, the liberal media initiate hate, racism and division to fuel the fire. The liberal media have created enough division with their fake news. Liberals want to control Americans’ guns, but they had the tenacity to create this wicked, violent film.

If this film was released, it may have divided our nation down a dangerous road. Our nation needs to join together and stand up for the truth, cast out the evil and reunite as one nation under God.
