Letter to the editor: Law has not been applied evenly
During a recent news conference Attorney General Merrick Garland talked about “applying the law evenly.” Perhaps he is suffering from Biden syndrome. Does he not remember that Hillary Clinton destroyed thousands of emails she was told to retain? Does he not remember the emails between Lisa Paige and Peter Strzok? Or how James Comey lied to Congress? Then there were the 51 intelligence officers who lied about the Hunter Biden laptop. None of these people were prosecuted for their actions, nor did the FBI raid their private residences.
It’s obvious to anyone who has been paying attention that there is not fair and even justice under the law. Former FBI agents have revealed as much.
In his book, “The FBI — They Eat Their Young,” writer William Adam Larsh exposes a dark side of FBI management in a “callous bureaucracy that illustrates their pettiness, vindictiveness, massive egos and (their) retaliatory nature.” He talks about an old joke among his fellow employees: “What’s the difference between sharks and FBI executive management? Sharks don’t eat their young.”
Former FBI special agent Mike German, in his book, “Disrupt, Discredit, and Divide: How the New FBI Damages Democracy,” reveals how FBI directors Robert Mueller and Comey ascended to near god-like status in some liberal corners for their roles in the Russia investigation.
Perhaps Thomas Jefferson had an inkling when he wrote to James Madison, “I hold it that a little rebellion now and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical.”
