Letter to the editor: Kurimsky for Franklin Regional school board

Tribune-Review

My wife and I considered many areas to raise our children, and Murrysville topped our list, mainly because of our confidence in the Franklin Regional School District providing the best education for our children. It’s important our kids experience a community that promotes diversity and values inclusion. With so many parents trying to navigate today’s challenges, we don’t have enough time to focus on every curriculum and issue. That’s why it’s important we support people with integrity when voting for school board members.

I’ve known Kevin Kurimsky for 20 years, and he has always been a calm, rational and intelligent leader. I look to him for information about the community and the school district. I’ve watched him be a very involved parent to his three children and have witnessed how present he always is. He and his entire family have volunteered countless hours for decades in and around the community.

Most importantly, he is extremely honest and direct, which are values that I believe are critical for any leader. I see Kurimsky as someone who has the same incentives and priorities as many other parents in this community. He also has a clear understanding of the impact today’s issues have on our kids.

Kurimsky will be a strong leader in upholding these values, as his sole purpose for running for a school board position is the betterment of the students and community. I plan to vote for Kevin Kurimsky on May 18 and urge you to as well.
