Letter to the editor: Klingensmith for district justice in Murrysville
As the retired Murrysville constable, I was happy to hear of the retirement plans of District Magistrate Charles Conway. Conway has done a terrific job for Murrysville for over two decades and he deserves a happy retirement.
Having worked out of that office for years, I have a real interest in its future. I was pleased to hear that a longtime neighbor and friend, Bob Klingensmith, will be running for his seat. I have known Klingensmith for over 30 years. His family has been in Murrysville for over 70 years — many may remember his father, Chester, as our local barber in the 1960s. I got to know the entire family in 1991 when they got involved with helping me begin the Flags Over Murrysville project.
Klingensmith graduated from Franklin Regional, Penn State and Duquesne University law Sschool. He and his wife, Suzy, raised their three children in Murrysville and they both have been involved in our community thoughout their lives. They are a true homegrown Murrysville family.
Klingensmith has been a staunch conservative Republican for most of his adult life, and he shares all the values and beliefs of most of the people of Murrysville. I feel very comfortable with him serving in a judicial position in our town. I fully support him as our new district justice and ask for your support as well.
Bob McKenna Murrysville
