Letter to the editor: Kertes, Chew should remain in office
In response to the letter “Don’t vote for incumbents” (April 23, TribLIVE) — don’t believe everything you read. The letter was full of incorrect information regarding ARPA and CARES act distributions. Not including the special earmark for Excela Hospital and the restaurant industry, the Westmoreland County commissioners spent a total of $6,414,877 helping small businesses and a total of $2,457,789 on nonprofits, never returning a single dime of unspent money. This is all public record if anyone is interested in the truth.
Democrats are so desperate to return to power that they will say anything to get elected. The fact remains that the people of Westmoreland County are mostly pro-life, pro-gun, want free and fair elections, and don’t want their taxes raised or their freedoms trampled by the government. That’s why all of our state elected officials and all the county row offices are held by Republicans, and that’s why I’m voting for Republican incumbents Sean Kertes and Doug Chew for county commissioner.
