It appears society has become more dangerous.

I have witnessed the news media calling for women to arm themselves. My office has seen an increase in gun permits issued to females, and we often advise them to get training if a weapon is purchased. Due to the increase in liberal district attorneys not prosecuting criminals and the influx of illegal aliens, some of whom are rapists and murderers, there is fear among citizens.

As the chief law enforcement officer of Westmoreland County, I have directed my deputies on our warrant team and my entire staff of 75 to work with the Pennsylvania State Police, attorney general and the federal government to apprehend wanted illegal aliens.

We are fortunate in Westmoreland County to have top-notch law enforcement departments and a chief prosecutor, District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli, that fully enforce the law.

We will do our best to keep Westmoreland County safe and keep it a great place to live.
