Letter to the editor: In the Twilight Zone

Tribune-Review

Reading some of the political opinion letters in this paper and others, as well as online, is like venturing into the “Twilight Zone.” The back and forth arguing where my guy is good, your guy is bad, my news sources are true, yours are false, proves how controlled and mindless we have become. The mind-controlling diversions used by politicians and the media are so refined and effective that many have no clue, nor do they want one. Vlad would be proud.

Facts have been minimized to such an extent that they are constantly ignored. Winning an argument now is based on being the loudest, or by name calling, or labeling the other into submission. Painting someone as a “___-ist” is the key to victory. If you need to be right all the time, then just watch your favorite news channel or listen to your “go to” politician. Allow them to unscrew the top of your head and pour in whatever they like. There! “RIGHT” again! Feels great! But what if both sides are right? Uh oh! (head explodes)

Whatever you do, don’t use multiple sources, logic, facts or critical thinking to make your case. Never, never fact check. That would be risking everything to keep the fantasy going.

You’re being played, taken advantage of or whatever term you like. You can’t see it, so you double down on false narratives and parrot misinformation. The Government Media Complex’s Propaganda Machine is in full operation. Apparently, resistance is futile?
