Letter to the editor: Greensburg bishop should resign
At a time when the Catholic Church is having a hard time finding people who are willing to give their life to God and teach the Catholic faith, Bishop Larry Kulick of the Diocese of Greensburg made an unfortunate poor decision for putting Father John Moineau on a leave for an administrative/policy error.
Father John was pastor of Immaculate Conception and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parishes and president of Queen of Angels Catholic School, all while dealing with serious health issues.
I would have to say that is pretty harsh punishment, especially since the Catholic Church had a blind eye for so many years with serious crimes.
I believe the devil entered our church and the bishop allowed it to happen. We as Christians can overcome and forgive Kulick for his unjust, unprofessional actions, although we can’t forget.
The bishop needs to make things right. First, a public apology to Father John, and then resign his position . How can he serve these parishes knowing how people really feel about him?
