Anyone that dumped their dish or any other alternative paid television subscription because of high cost and selective programming may have installed their own antennae in order to watch local TV.
Pittsburgh news programming coverage is time-competitive, with each station supplying repetitive news in order to fill the time allotted. We can hear of a runaway eagle for days after it’s been found, and we recently have. With our own antennae, we can watch 50-year-old programs that, if you are elderly, may never have watched when they were first released, yet they’re on the stations’ second viewing channels.
And if these local stations do run any new programs, the new programs have everyone pointing and shooting firearms or have Hollywood weirdness being presented as being either entertaining or funny. NOT!
Covid dominates, along with socialism threats, and these are followed by eight to 10 advertisements for companies that can’t deliver because of current worker shortages. Good reason to pull the plug.
