There has been a great deal of contention on the Gateway School Board in recent months. Mask rules, in-person versus online education, equity director perceived need, critical race theory and Facebook and social media conflicts over policy are examples. The concerned voters of Monroeville and Pitcairn need to join together and vote to get some even-tempered, informed, student-focused school board members in the Nov. 2 election.
I would like to thank Superintendent William Short and Assistant Superintendents Dennis Chakey and Guy Rossi for their great job navigating the school district through these recent challenging times.
