Letter to the editor: Gas taxes, tar & chip
I just came back from an enjoyable vacation in a rural area of Ohio. At no time was I on a tar and chip road. And gas prices were 50 cents less than they are in Pennsylvania.
Maybe someone can tell me where the money goes: 59 cents on every gallon of gas sold in this state generates millions of dollars. And we get tar and chip roads … really.
Oh, by the way, this is the second year they tarred and chipped my road, and now I have to replace another windshield. Thanks, “Tax ‘em Tom” and the rest of the useless state government.
