What lesson is learned from student loan debt forgiveness? Do signed agreements mean nothing anymore? Apparently, it is too easy for our government to squander our hard-earned tax money on things that they should not.
This plan just puts a patch on the problem of the outrageous cost of attending college instead of solving it. Maybe President Biden should hold hearings on why college cost is so out of hand. He blames oil companies for the high price of gas, and they had hearings criticizing companies because they made so much money. Why not question college administrators in the same way?
What’s next? Government is pushing citizens to buy electric cars, and the cost is great, so maybe people will complain they took out loans for them and have too much debt. Maybe our president will come out with an electric vehicle debt forgiveness program. It’s funny, you take loans out for cars and homes, and if you don’t pay, they can repossess your property. We should be teaching people that they are responsible for paying off loans.
The problem today is too much free money is being given away, like during the pandemic, and it makes a mess of our economy. We must learn that free money does not solve problems; you give something for free, and people will just keep coming back for more.
