Letter to the editor: Facts on 'global warming'
In 2015, scholar Walter Williams stated that during the Ordovician period (460 million years ago), carbon dioxide concentrations were 4,400 PPM (parts per million), and temperatures were about the same as today. (This is over 10 times the level, 415 PPM, recorded Nov. 18, 2021, by the Global Monitoring Laboratory.)
A May 12, 2013, Valley News Dispatch editorial titled “The CO2 Scare” included this comment from climatedepot.com’s Marc Morano: “Peer-reviewed studies have shown that ice ages occurred when CO2 levels ranged from 2,000 PPM all the way up to 8,000 PPM; that temperatures comparable to today’s prevailed even with CO2 levels 20 times higher; and that CO2 rose as high as 425 PPM nearly 13,000 years ago when humanity couldn’t possibly have influenced climate.”
A chart in the book “Lukewarming” compares temperature projections by global warming scientists (charlatans, in my opinion) to actual recorded temperatures from 1977-2015. The projected estimates were four times greater than those actually recorded.
Before self-proclaimed “experts” such as Al Gore and John Kerry lead the global warming lemmings over the proverbial cliff, the heat dissipation of CO2 must be understood. It is explained in the book “The Weaponization of Weather in the Phony Climate War,” which includes this quote from Gregory Wrightstone, author and geologist: “The warming effect of each molecule of (CO2) decreases logarithmically with increasing concentration, and that is why there was no runaway global warming in the past when CO2 exceeded 5,000 PPM.” (This is over 10 times the current level of 415 PPM.)
