Letter to the editor: Facebook's censorship
To Facebook/Mark Zuckerberg and its censors: Recently I posted a comment on Facebook; Facebook posted me back, saying my comment was spam and in violation of its community standards.
Below is my comment; you be the judge.
“Vote red — for all you people who voted blue the last election, do you now regret it? Tell me who’s sorry now! Gas prices are up, food prices are up, all retailers’ prices are up. All because of Biden’s inflation.”
I thought my comment was pretty much innocuous, but Facebook thought otherwise. Facebook told me that any such similar posts from me would result in suspension. I couldn’t believe it!
I have seen egregious, foul and loathsome posts on Facebook, including many by people using the F-word, spelled out. I continue to see this on Facebook, so I know this language doesn’t bother them, despite many young people viewing comments on Facebook.
I read that Zuckerberg has supported many Democratic causes. I guess that’s why Zuckerberg’s censors were upset about my comment critical of Biden.
