Letter to the editor: Enough of the radical LGBT agenda

Tribune-Review

I believe the stated goal of the LGBT community is to be accepted and respected. But it is my observation that the radicals among them manifest themselves by crude, lewd and nude parades and public “pride” demonstrations, and by the confusing and abusing of children with vulgar drag queen shows.

Some lash out with vicious, obscene, verbal bludgeoning and threaten bodily harm to those who resist their demands. Hardly the way to gain acceptance and respect.

Most conservatives have a live-and-let-live attitude toward these folks. The LGBT community should certainly not be persecuted or mistreated. But neither should we be persecuted or mistreated for our beliefs that their lifestyle is disordered and not normal behavior. So, when they try to force their lifestyle down the throats of the general public, and especially to the detriment of our children, we need to resist.

Our chromosomes determine that there are two, and only two, genders. Everyone is either one or the other, from birth until death, no matter how hard some try to play God and alter that. No one should be obligated to address those of some imagined gender by some imagined pronoun.

The fear of being called every vile name imaginable has caused many to be silent, to appease and to allow this radical, belligerent segment of the LGBT community, and the accompanying “woke” movement, to become a metastasizing cancer in our society. It is time to say, enough!
