Letter to the editor: Election was fair; Trump must go
I am 6-foot-4-inches tall, have wavy blond hair, and have a Ph.D. and a law degree. Oh, and I also won the presidential election. That’s all a lie. I’m 5-foot-8, bald as a cue ball, have no college degrees and didn’t even run for dog catcher, let alone president.
It’s easy to make false claims but much harder to offer real proof. It seems President Trump has made false claims all his life and continues to this day, putting our country at risk. It’s one thing to lie about showing your tax returns, having sex with women other than your wife or the size of your bank account, but it’s entirely different to lie about losing the election and claim voter fraud.
Trump lost the election by more than 7 million votes. It’s time to stop lying and leave. His own people, who he appointed, said the election was fair. It’s easy to say, “I heard that ballots for Trump were destroyed, and Biden ballots were counted twice,” but where is the proof? Nowhere.
Trump had Rudy Giuliani going around questioning every state where Trump lost and claiming they cheated so Biden could win. What about the states he won? Was there fraud in those states? His minions protested to stop counting votes in states where he was losing, but in other states, they wanted all votes counted.
All votes must be counted. We had the largest voter turnout in history. It’s time to move on. Biden is the next president. Trump, you’re fired!
