Letter to the editor: Election was about good vs. evil

Tribune-Review

The 2020 election was about good vs. evil. In this regard, why would God permit evil to prevail? It wasn’t his choice; it was ours.

When they said let’s take prayer out of schools, we said OK. When they said let’s remove God from the public square, we said OK. When they said abortion is OK, we said OK. When they said same-sex unions are marriages, we said OK. When the entertainment industry began flooding our homes with violence, sex and deviant behavior, we said OK.

The Founding Fathers warned that, in order to be free, a people must be virtuous and God-fearing. Samuel Adams said it best: “Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt.” Regrettably, I believe we are now in the process of being transformed (Remember President Obama’s quote, “… we are five days away from fundamentally transforming” America?) from a free society to socialism and eventually a communist nation.

Since communism and God cannot co-exist, we Christians all will have to make a clear choice; no fence- sitting. We will either subscribe to the laws of God and life the way God intended, or the laws of the evil one, as subscribed to by the leaders who gave us the laws as stated above.

Worshipping at the altar of hate, greed, deviance, deception, lust for power and character assassination must end, and we must become a whole nation under God. Not a nation divided by Satan. We must refill our churches.
