Letter to the editor: Do we want socialism?
Supporters of President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris might be spinning their wheels when they spend so much time criticizing their opponent. Basically, the heart of the debate boils down to one question we need to ask ourselves — do we want to continue our uniquely successful form of government of the past 250 years by moderate Democrats and moderate Republicans, or do we want to turn over the keys to our country to an extreme left-wing socialist group with Marxist and woke influences?
Today’s Democratic Party is not the moderate party of the past and Jack Kennedy. In fact, I think the Harris-Walz happy duo form the most left-wing, socialist-Marxist candidates for president/vice president in our country’s history.
If you are not familiar with the dangers of extreme left-wing socialism, ask any Cuban-American who struggled under Fidel Castro, or Venezuelan-American who suffered the socialist revolution under Nicholas Maduro, and they would be astonished to find any American voter would even consider putting a socialist/Marxist group into power.
Also, we know how our anti-Trump media greatly influences voters, fosters misinformation, uses one-sided fact finding and thrives on, and perpetuates, the political and personal criticism of Trump.
This election is about the future of our great country, and not whether we like Harris’ or Trump’s personality better, based on what we “think” are the true facts.
