Letter to the editor: Do not 'choose' abortion
How do we determine if a person is alive or dead? We look for a pulse to see if the heart is beating, right? Well, did you know that the heart of the fetus is beating often before the woman knows she is pregnant? There can be a heartbeat detected at three to five weeks after conception and the developing fetus is growing inside the womb. How much more evidence do we need to prove that the fetus is alive, that “termination” is actually murder? If someone kills a pregnant woman, they can be charged with two murders, so what does that say about the “fetus”?
I’m so tired of that lame “I have the right to choose.” No one is taking away your right; just “choose” before conception. Otherwise, you choose murder, and murder is punishable by death. Maybe not here on earth, but there will be a final judgment … some day. Don’t believe in that? Well, once again it’s your choice; you better hope you’re not wrong.
Another thing: If you have an abortion and then ever do choose to have a child, it will be a constant reminder of the one you chose to abort. Think about that while you’re choosing. If you don’t want the child, choose adoption. There are many who cannot conceive and who would love the child that you want to “terminate,” eliminate, murder!
