Letter to the editor: Dems' path to communism
Three events occurred on Jan. 6 that I believe will forever shape the destiny of the United States. First, Democrats took control of the Senate when the results of the Georgia runoff elections became clear, giving the party total control of decision-making at the federal level. Second, the certification of Joe Biden as president. Third, and largely overlooked, is that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) arrested over 50 pro-Democracy activists through its Hong Kong puppet security service.
What do these events have in common? The Democrats will now advance their agendas because none in their party dare challenge anything no matter how far left. They will continue to placate their base with socialist giveaways while the left continues to brainwash America’s youth and the media chooses to look the other way.
Long term, once the Democrats feel they have uncontested control of the nation, the nice socialism will begin to turn into authoritarian rule, through whatever means necessary, much like the CCP.
