Letter to the editor: Democrats' ideas confounding

Tribune-Review

Progressive Democrats and media allies present unrealistic and contradictory ideas as self-evident to prevent being eaten by their own. To avoid cancellation, they promote a list that confounds rational minds.

Reduce crime by defunding police and eliminating bail; hire social workers and treat criminals like illegal immigrants with catch and release — check.

Secure the southern border by opening it; rename underpasses with Porta-Johns and cages with foil blanket “reception centers” — check.

Demand citizens show proof of vaccination while transporting infected illegals, but forbid voter ID — check.

Change male to female with a skirt, heels and makeup because gender is “fluid,” perceived in one’s mind — check.

Support antifa and BLM riots, arson and looting as peaceful, but claim using the wrong pronoun is violence — check.

Declare the national anthem and flag racist, and teach 1619 CRT, then tear down statues and rename birds, flowers and insects named by racist white men — check.

Finally, advocate everything in the name of climate change and racial justice — check.

This incomprehensible worldview is embraced by the left with zeal. Their convictions will soon be tested when asked to go against the cornerstone of their religion in upcoming elections.

After years portraying Donald J. Trump as evil incarnate, a new narrative demonizing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as “worse than Trump” now emerges. How can anyone ever be worse than the orange devil himself?

Prepare for heads to explode explaining this one, and the hilarity to ensue! Make plenty of popcorn and keep some marshmallows on hand for when the self-immolation begins.
