Letter to the editor: DelRosso for lieutenant governor

Tribune-Review

When I moved to Western Pennsylvania 30 years ago, one common theme I heard constantly was that our young people received an excellent education but, upon graduation, must leave the state for career opportunities. Nothing has changed. In fact, recently we hear that the state’s population has declined. Why?

Why is it that more businesses are not looking at Pennsylvania to either start or expand? I believe a lot of that lies in the state government’s inability to come to terms in taxing and regulatory changes needed to make Pennsylvania more attractive to business.

With that said, I believe in and endorse Carrie Lewis DelRosso for lieutenant governor. I have followed her career and find that she doesn’t stand on the sidelines and sway to any political climate. She is a determined person ready and willing to challenge the “same old, same old” political bureaucracy. Ready to put that aside and take a fresh approach to the office of lieutenant governor by communicating with the different legislative bodies and the public, promoting the changes needed to make our great state more financially attractive to business, and ultimately keeping our young people here.

The duties of lieutenant governor are many, but in addition, we need a person determined to promote a change and to communicate that change to all in an all-out effort to make Pennsylvania a business-conducive state.

Please join me in supporting Carrie Lewis Delrosso as our next lieutenant governor.
