If my assumption is correct, and the numbers of primary votes are an indication of commitment, it seems that Republicans have noticeably more interest in the upcoming general election. I also have noticed the signs of some faults developing in the Democratic political dike.
I understand the reasoning behind the recent comments by Sen. Joe Manchin regarding his dissatisfaction with the direction and exaggerated leanings of his political affiliates. Manchin knows how to communicate his sincerity to West Virginia voters and convince them his interests are fully aligned with theirs. The recent comments by Jeff Bezos were more indicative of dissatisfaction in the highest echelons of the Democratic Party and its backers. It now seems there is much less for fabrications of purported facts to excuse Joe Biden’s convoluted reasoning processes.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren is using the “leaked-draft saga,” with opinion to be constructed by Justice Samual Alito, as a mechanism to position her horse in stall No. 6 (a favorite slot) of the starting gate. She is front and center with the elitist raised-palm salute for emphasis. Sen. Chuck Schumer is getting writing cramp from his attempts to get notice as a party leader and kingmaker. Not to be outdone, Sen. Mitch McConnell has selected an entry from the table of contents of the latest edition of the Democratic Instruction Manual for the American version of Europe’s theatre of the Absurd.
I was getting agita until I decided that it will be better for my mental health to grab some popcorn and sit back and watch the evolving theatrics.
