Letter to the editor: Choosing the best candidate
With all the political ads on TV, it’s hard to know what to believe.
It may be a good idea for everyone to look at the realities in their own lives.
I’d like to ask everyone:
Do you know anyone who has coronavirus?
Do the hospitals have more patients than they can handle?
How are your investment funds doing?
Are gas prices low?
Do you see racism and violence in your community?
How does the cost of your health insurance and prescription drugs compare to the last five years?
If you work hourly, are your wages going up?
We need to block out all the talking heads on TV and think for ourselves.
Also, another way I like to pick a candidate is to watch each one in a full-length interview or speech and then pick the one I like best, not the one someone on TV tells me to pick.
