Letter to the editor: Celebrating Steelers' impact on Westmoreland County
I want to express my deep gratitude to the Pittsburgh Steelers for consistently choosing Latrobe as their training camp site. This annual tradition not only excites our community but also significantly benefits our local economy.
A special thank-you goes to Saint Vincent College for its exceptional hospitality. Its commitment to providing a welcoming environment for the team is invaluable.
I also want to recognize the countless Steelers fans who traveled to Latrobe. Your support has had a tremendous impact on our local businesses — from restaurants and hotels to retail shops. This boost is vital for the growth and sustainability of our small enterprises.
Moreover, training camp allows visitors to experience the beauty of Westmoreland County. Many have discovered the unique attractions and warm hospitality that make our region special. We hope your positive experiences will encourage you to revisit, consider living here or explore business opportunities in our area.
The Steelers’ training camp is more than just preparation for the season; it is a celebration of community and collaboration. We are grateful to the Steelers organization, Saint Vincent College and, most importantly, the fans who make this event a success and drive our local economy forward.
