Letter to the editor: Brighton owner's actions speak for themselves
The problem is insincerity of the person speaking the words.
Take, for example, the owners of Brighton Rehab and Wellness Center, the holding company Allaire Health Services, appointed last year by state health officials to temporarily manage Brighton. CEO Benjamin Kurland would not agrree to be interviewed regarding his company procedures for admitting sex offenders or steps taken to protect patients from those offenders (“Brighton Rehab no stranger to federal, state scrutiny for resident care,” Dec. 30, TribLIVE). Actions speak louder than words, and Kurland’s actions speak for themselves.
Maybe someone could turn some of these vacant malls into low-cost, affordable housing for the elderly and disabled. Some of them are already walking inside malls.
