Letter to the editor: Biden's presence will continue to be felt
Even if Joe Biden isn’t on the ballot this November, he’ll make sure that you’re thinking of him.
As ballistic missiles fly, the U.S. has a choice. Acknowledge that we’re being pulled into a disastrous war and take steps to make peace. Or, put pedal to the metal and dive right in.
Biden took the liberty of choosing for us, deploying thousands of U.S. troops to the Middle East. This should come as no surprise. From giving Netanyahu a blank check to ignoring threats from Iran, Biden fanned the flames of war. At least 50,000 people are dead as a result.
He’s so convinced of his own diplomatic genius that he has ignored the best advice of actual experts in the State Department, the CIA and the military.
He’s so overconfident he’s committing us to another war, while we’re already supporting Ukraine, hovering over a recession and bracing for a highly contentious election.
He’s giving a big middle finger to all who recognized his inadequacy — to us, to his opponents, and, indeed, to the vice president who has taken his spotlight.
If Kamala Harris loses in November, she’ll have one 81-year-old megalomaniac to blame. It won’t be Donald Trump.
