Letter to the editor: Biden's plans not working

The Joe Biden economic plan is not working for me and my family. I shed tears of pain for all the people trying to pay their outrageous bills in this tough economy. As a businessman in the New Kensington area for over 35 years, my heart has been broken to see so many people suffering to pay their living costs and trying to survive.

I think back to when my grandfather told me tales of the Great Depression and how people tried to find food to eat. This economy is so bad that I have been forced to raise my prices and work longer hours just to survive and put a roof over my head.

I am tired of the rich elites making rules that don’t apply to them, and all the lower-income people having to follow the rules. I am tired of Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ rich oligarchy and the selfish, ungrateful, “I don’t care” attitude of our political leaders that hurt so many poor working-class people. Their political policies are causing utter ruin to our once great country.

There seems to be a great contrast between the rich elites and the hardworking people trying to put food on their tables. I try to help people live a better life in this tough economic time. I feel bad for people, and I try to give them hope. I have been a strong advocate for financial literacy, which they don’t teach in school anymore.

I pray that we have a new direction in this country and a new leader to help restore faith in our country.
