Letter to the editor: Biden's oil plans make no sense
So our great President Biden has announced his two-part economic plan to fight inflation. It’s simple: Part one, buy American, but not oil. Apparently, oil purchased from terrorist states such as Iran or Venezuela will somehow reduce our now record-breaking U.S. gasoline prices, but U.S. oil won’t. I guess our economist-in-chief thinks terrorists will sell their oil cheaper than U.S. producers will. Really?
Biden also claims it’s important not to burn U.S. oil because it creates a climate change problem, but apparently burning foreign oil doesn’t. Who knew?
Part two of the plan announced in the State of the Union debacle calls for American companies to “reduce costs, not wages.” Obviously, Biden doesn’t know that wages are part of “costs.” Apparently, energy costs don’t count either.
And it’s not surprising that Biden would lie about fixing the economy; I think he lies about everything. His newest lie is blaming Putin for record inflation. Biden refuses to accept that his war on fossil fuels has anything to do with it. I believe Biden’s cutting of oil/gas supplies by stopping pipelines and drilling caused gas prices to rise at least 50% before the “minor incursion.” Why would any oil company invest in new production when Biden will cut off oil shipping every chance he gets?
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for November. We need to stop Biden’s destruction of America.
