Letter to the editor: Biden interfering with 'supply'

Tribune-Review

Regarding Jeffrey T. Hices’s letter about supply and demand (“Why gas prices are high,” Nov. 30, TribLIVE): The president has no business interfering with and interrupting “supply,” yet on his first day, he issued 17 executive orders.

Besides revoking the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, one of those orders banned drilling in several national parks and national monuments. On Jan. 27, another executive order paused new oil and natural gas leases on public lands or in offshore waters.

By some estimates, tens of thousands of jobs already have been lost, and billions of dollars of projects have been scrapped. Then, to add salt to the wound, Biden supports the Russian Nord Stream 2 pipeline through Germany and has appealed to OPEC to drill and produce more oil.

None of the above actions will make America great again. Yes, the law of supply and demand exists.
