Letter to the editor: Biden destroying our independence

So, Joe, you would rather direct money to Saudi Arabia or, God forbid, Venezuela instead of allowing Americans to produce needed energy? I understand that you are pandering (Democrats need environmentalist votes) to the ill-informed who believe that if energy is not produced in the U.S. then “their Earth” is greener.

By the way, just a few years ago, America was energy independent and we were exporting . It’s amazing how in a little over a year, the policies of you and your “handlers” have destroyed our independence. Who would have thought that in 2022 the U.S. would import energy from Russia of all places. Yes, Joe, you did that!

America must have leaders who do what is necessary for the good of the country, not politicians who only focus on how they will be reelected.
