Letter to the editor: Biden and 'wealth redistribution'
For all of you who intend to vote for Joe Biden as a moderate Democrat, you need to take a look at the “Unity Task Force Recommendations” document he signed along with Bernie Sanders. It is 110 pages of socialized governing.
The policy listing was put together by task forces addressing the topics of climate change, criminal justice, education, health care, immigration and the economy. The basic premise of the “manifesto” was that virtually every need of the citizenry is a right to be guaranteed by the government through regulation and control.
Among notable members who may be familiar to us are John Kerry, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, Eric Holder and Conor Lamb. Financing for implementing the recommendations would come from those who have it paying their “fair share” in order to provide the rest of us with our “fair share.” It’s called “wealth redistribution,” but a more descriptive term is “socialism.”
The question you need to ask yourself before voting is: Do I hate Trump so much that I am willing to give up much of the individual and economic freedom that I enjoy in exchange for a society that believes in a “fair share” for all in the strictest sense of the word? If implemented, these policies will change America as we know it.
For me, I remain pro-life, pro-family, pro-country, pro-Trump.
