Letter to the editor: AP too biased
As a longtime subscriber to the Trib, I am concerned that it has veered far left in just the last few years. I don’t consider the Associated Press a journalistic news organization any longer, and think the Trib’s relationship to it should be terminated. AP’s use of inflammatory and unproven adjectives and wording when writing about anything conservative is an affront to all patriotic citizens. Pam Hohal said it well in her letter “More conservative sources, not Associated Press” (March 18, TribLIVE).
An example of this is including this quote from Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta at the end of the article “Police investigate suspect’s motive in Atlanta-area killings” (March 17, TribLIVE): “The shootings (were) … fueled by white supremacy and systemic racism.” This quote was not needed because it clearly was not that, according to a statement from the accused gunman included in the article. Yet again another biased AP article.
The Trib seems to ascribe to the ideas that all white people are racists and should be reeducated, and all of our government processes are out to get non-whites. This is not true. Virtually all white people want everyone to succeed in life through law-abiding personal initiative.
