Letter to the editor: Anti-Trump bias on front page
When editors choose news articles for the front page, do they bother to read them? The AP story “Trump rally shows cracks in campaign” (June 22) reads like a hate-filled diatribe written by a left-wing activist.
Where was the objective reporting? Where was the rebuttal quote from a Trump supporter — or the Trump campaign — or anybody? The writer seems upset that President Trump didn’t address subjects the writer cares about more than what was actually said. What were the highlights of the event? How did the supporters react? Where were the statistics to back up the sub-headline “President’s reelection hopes stung by empty seats in Tulsa and signs independents, educated voters, women have turned on him”?
Most importantly, why are we reading this on the front page when it’s clearly more biased than what’s found in the opinion section?
Editors, please reread this article and ask yourselves if this is something you’re proud to have placed on the front page of your newspaper.
