Letter to the editor: Another route of political decay

Tribune-Review

For the Allegheny Valley prodigal son, whose visit was marred by exposure to Trump signs (“Loyalty to Trump has gotten Allegheny Valley nowhere,” April 8, TribLIVE), might I suggest a different route?

How about traversing the Democratic Grand Canyon of money pits along the East Coast, where nary a Trump sign exists? Rather, you will see signs of the woke: “If you like your crook, you can keep your crook. Just vote them in again!”

No need for windshield washer fluid; you’ll have multitudes of homeless windshield washers along the way at every underpass and stop light, with spirits bottle and palm out for your contribution to their continued existence (in your words) in this “sad corridor of poverty and decay.”

Next, I encourage a Martha’s Vineyard diversionary trek to the Democratic mecca of Chappaquiddick, to the shrine of the only known U.S. senator with a confirmed kill. Then, swing by Great Pond and share crumpets and tea with the Netflix czar otherwise known as Barack Obama.

Now continuing further, make haste through New York City lest you be groped by the governor or incur Mayor Bill de Blasio’s “toll to the troll” for the privilege of driving on the “you didn’t build it, your tax money did and we are going to tax you again for the use of it … sweet.”

And what pleasure next to visit the City of Brotherly Love to tax you — yep, that “commonwealth black hole” from which no dollar can escape once entering its sphere of depravity (not gravity).

Hence heading west, keep your eyes closed.
