Letter to the editor: An appeal to conservative voters in Norwin

Tribune-Review

Conservative voters of Norwin, we will be counting on you again. The conservative contingent of the school board has made progress in its first term. Ridding the district of CNN10, passing anti-CRT and anti-nepotism policies were great steps. But it was just short of a bloody battle, met with huge liberal resistance.

The reason this was so difficult: three so-called conservatives proved that they are not. They flipped for whatever reason to align with the district administration’s Dr. Jeffrey Taylor. Instead of a 7-2 majority, it is a 5-4 minority balance. Yes, Taylor, our superintendent who does not reside within the district, but sure does like our money.

Thank goodness we do have those who are trying to keep an eye on the money and budget. We almost had no budget increase in June, but an 11th-hour amendment to the budget by one of our illustrious fake conservatives cost us all.

Shawna Ilagan, Christine Baverso, Alex Detschelt and Bob Wayman are your true conservative board members who are literally fighting for you and your children’s future. It is a thankless job with no benefits. They put in the time and are prepared for every meeting. As opposed to those board members who rubber-stamp all administration’s wants. Keep this in mind for our upcoming election. Vote for Lynda Funk, Tom Ryan, Bob Wayman, Dale Weisensee and Tammy Moreno. FRWWM. If you don’t vote this way, come January you will have a frown.
