Police: Woman claims she's her daughter to avoid drug charges
Age is just a number, isn’t it? It’s all in how you feel.
A 38-year-old woman in Utah felt 21 last week — well, that is after she was pulled over for a traffic violation, KUTV in Salt Lake City reports.
According to their report, Heather Garcia was pulled over in Farmington, Utah, when police saw that her silver BMW didn’t have a license plate.
Officers reported a search of her vehicle uncovered drug paraphernalia and a “white powdery substance.”
The police said when asked for ID, Garcia told them her name was Mercedes and that she was born in 1998. Upon calling it in, the Davis County Sheriff’s Office said they discovered that was her daughter’s information, KUTV reports.
Police also discovered Garcia had some outstanding warrants.
Online records show Garcia was booked into Davis County Jail on charges of drug possession, driving with a revoked license and offering false information to a peace officer.
