Police in Uvalde investigating shooting, multiple people injured
DALLAS — Police were investigating a shooting Thursday evening in Uvalde, Texas.
The Uvalde Police Department said on Facebook that the department got a call at 5:30 p.m. about a shooting in Uvalde Memorial Park.
There are multiple injured victims, the department said.
UPDATE: As many as six, but possibly as few as two people, have been shot in Uvalde's downtown Memorial Park, Sen. Roland Gutierrez confirms, an epicenter of grief after the May 24th shooting. The scene is just over a mile from Robb Elementary School, where an 18-year-old gunman fatally shot 19 children and two teachers in May.
