Insurrectionists loyal to President Donald Trump climb on an inauguration platform Jan. 6 on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol in Washington.

This is hardly an honor, but as of Monday Pennsylvania is in second place among the 50 states in terms of the number of its residents who are facing federal charges in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Texan ranked No. 1, with 21 defendants.

Pennsylvania and New York were tied for the No. 2 spot with 16 defendants each.

Florida was third with 12 arrestees, while California was in fourth with 11, followed by Virginia with 9, New Jersey with 7 and Ohio with 6.

More than 170 people have been charged by the feds to date.

The woman who is perhaps the most famous Pennsylvanian charged in connection with the riot, 22-year-old Riley Williams, hails from the Harrisburg area. She’s accused, among other things, of stealing a laptop computer from the office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Other Keystone State defendants, in reverse order of arrest date, are:

Peter Schwartz, 47, a Kentucky man living in Fayette County, is accused of spraying Capitol Police officers with mace. His charges include forcible assault of an officer.

Rachel Powell, 40, a mother of eight from Mercer County, was caught on video wearing a pink hat and directing rioters through a bullhorn as they ransacked the seat of the U.S. government, the feds say.

Zachary Alam, 29, was arrested in Denver, Lancaster County. Investigators say Alam was spotted in video footage at multiple stages during the riot, including a shots of him smashing a window into the Speaker’s Lobby.

Ryan Samsel, 37, was arrested in Bristol and is accused, among other things, of assaulting an officer. The attack was captured on video, according to the feds.

Dawn Bancroft, a Doylestown business owner, and Diana Santos-Smith were filmed entering the Capitol and threatening lawmakers, investigators claim.

Brian Gunderson, 26, of Centre County, was identified as one of the rioters from a photo taken by CNN during the chaos, the authorities contend.

Kenneth Grayson of Bridgeville live-streamed himself participating in the riot, the FBI says. Agents claim Grayson was dressed in black and was toting a “Don’t Tread on Me” flag.

Craig Bingert, a Lehigh County resident, is accused of being among the mob that charged barricades around the Capitol.

Barton Shively, 53, of Mechanicsburg, was filmed among the rioters, his arrest papers state.

Jordan Mink of South Fayette is accused of shattering a window in the Capitol with a baseball bat.

Matthew Perna of Sharon is charged with entering a restricted building and disorderly conduct.

Andrew Wrigley, 50, of Jim Thorpe, had posted on Facebook that he had gone into the Capitol and been tear-gassed, investigators say.

Robert Sanford, 55, a retired firefighter from Chester, was filmed hurling a fire extinguisher that struck three Capitol police officers, the FBI contends.

Terry Brown, 69, of Myerstown, Lebanon County is charged by the U.S. Capitol Police with unlawful entry of the Capitol and by federal prosecutors with entering the Capitol without lawful authority or with intent to impeded governmental business or official functions and engaging in disorderly conduct and violent entry.
