O.J. Simpson tweets video showing how he's combating the coronavirus
O.J. Simpson says he is prepared to tackle the coronavirus.
The Hall of Fame running back, a convicted robber who spent a decade in jail and was acquitted of killing his wife and her friend, posted a 31-second video titled “Never Too Careful” to Twitter on Tuesday that showed him disinfecting his “winnings” from a golf outing.
The video starts panning around what seems to be a golf course on an adjacent property.
Viewers can hear a spraying noise in the background. Then a female’s voice exclaims, “Dad! What are you doing?”

The voice appears to momentarily startle Simpson, who is holding an orange-topped aerosol can and wearing work gloves, a Titleist visor and a respirator mask that is typically used for either drywall repair or working in dusty environments.
“They’re canceling all of these crowds at the games and they’re telling people not to shake hands and to disinfect surfaces — well this is what I won at the golf course today,” Simpson said motioning toward around $60 in cash laying on the table.
“… so how do I know how many hands have touched this money?” Simpson says adding another layer of spray to the money.
He throws up his hands, widens his eyes and says, “I’m just sayin’,” while chuckling.
“Take care.”
Within one hour, the tweet had 1,000 retweets and 4,100 likes.
Simpson joined Twitter in June. He has accumulated nearly 1 million followers and has tweeted around 150 times.
